1. What is Qroot?
Qroot is an indoor hydroponic growing system that helps you grow fresh herbs and leafy greens at home without soil.
2. Do I need gardening experience?
No. Qroot is designed for beginners. Just add water, nutrients, seeds, and follow simple growing steps.
3. Does Qroot need sunlight?
No. Qroot comes with a built-in LED grow light that supports plant growth indoors, even in homes with limited sunlight.
4. What can I grow in Qroot?
You can grow herbs and leafy greens such as basil, mint, coriander, lettuce, spinach, parsley, and other similar greens. You can also grow pepper, chilli and tomato.
5. How long does it take to grow?
Most herbs and leafy greens start germinating within a few days. Harvest time depends on the plant, but many greens are ready in around 3–6 weeks.
6. Is it messy like soil gardening?
No. Qroot uses water-based hydroponic growing, so there is no soil, mud, or messy pots.
7. How often should I add water?
Check the water level regularly. Depending on plant size and usage, you may need to top up water every few days.
8. Do I need to add nutrients?
Yes. Since Qroot does not use soil, plants need A+B hydroponic nutrients mixed with water for healthy growth.
9. Is Qroot safe to keep in the kitchen?
Yes. Qroot is designed for indoor use and can be placed on a kitchen counter, dining area, or any clean indoor space.
10. Does it consume a lot of electricity?
No. Qroot uses energy-efficient LED grow lights and a small water circulation system, so power usage is generally low.
11. Can children use Qroot?
Children can enjoy watching plants grow, but setup, nutrients, water filling, and electrical handling should be done under adult supervision.
12. How do I clean the device?
After each growing cycle, empty the tank, rinse the parts, and clean the device gently before starting the next batch.
13. Will there be any smell?
No. When used properly, Qroot does not create soil smell or mud-related odor. Regular cleaning helps keep it fresh.
14. Can I grow vegetables like tomato or chilli?
Small herbs and leafy greens are best for Qroot. Some compact fruiting plants may need more space, more care, and a longer growing cycle.
15. What happens if a seed does not germinate?
Seed germination depends on seed quality, temperature, water, and handling. You can replace the seed and try again with fresh seeds.
16. Is Qroot suitable for Indian homes?
Yes. Qroot is designed for modern Indian homes, apartments, compact kitchens, and people who want to grow fresh greens indoors.
17. Do I need to buy seed pods separately?
QROOT includes grow sponges, baskets, grow domes, and starter Plant Food A & B. Seeds are not included, so you can plant your own favourite herbs and greens. Replacement sponges, baskets and pods can be purchased separately for each new growing cycle.
18. Does Qroot come with warranty?
Yes. QROOT comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery. The warranty does not cover physical damage, misuse, incorrect power input, water damage from improper handling, or normal wear and tear. For warranty support, contact support@qroot.in.
19. Can I keep it in my bedroom or living room?
Yes. You can keep it in any indoor area with a flat surface and access to a power socket. The kitchen is usually the most convenient place.
20. Is hydroponic food healthy?
Hydroponic growing can produce clean and fresh greens when the right water, nutrients, light, and hygiene are maintained.
